Midas Meets… Amelia Knight

woman wearing black blazer

Each month we sit down with different members of our brilliant team to understand what drives the bold and cutting-edge work we do and find out a bit more about the person behind the work.

For this month’s Midas Meets, we speak to Deputy Managing Director, Amelia Knight. A true Midas original, Amelia has been part of the team for over 16 years, working across a variety of clients: large and small, corporate and consumer, businesspeople, politicians and novelists among many others. She’s spearheaded a number of our dynamic campaigns for some of our high-profile clients including The London Book Fair, Oxford Children’s, Private Eye Paul Foot Award, Margaret Heffernan, Ryan Holiday, Atlantic Books, Financial Times Business Book of the Year Award, and many more.

Here’s what she had to say…

Something I won’t shut up about is…

The wisdom of the magnificent Margaret Heffernan. And I’ll take the opportunity again: if you haven’t read Uncharted yet, you must! It’s a book that will change how you look at life.

Best thing about my job is…

Working with creative colleagues and clients in the cultural sphere, there’s never a dull moment!

I got to where I am today by…

remembering that how I do anything is how I do everything. Contrary to popular belief, I do think we should sweat the small stuff! How can you get the big stuff right if you don’t bother with the small stuff? Mindset is everything.

In my spare time, I like to…

I have forgotten, as I have three turbulent children.

One thing I wish I knew at the start of my career is…

Talent will get you in the room, but behaviour and values will keep you there.
