North Yorkshire Revealed as UK’s Pub Walk Capital

  • AA names counties with most pubs along walking routes
  • Somerset, Cumbria, Hampshire and Gloucestershire among top destinations for walkers seeking refreshment and a place to stay

 

 

To mark National Walking Month and the launch of UK walking routes on their travel site RatedTrips.com, AA Media has today revealed the UK’s top counties for pub walks.

North Yorkshire has been named the UK’s top destination for pub walks, with 29 AA-rated inns and pubs located within five miles of the walking routes listed for the county on RatedTrips.com. Somerset and Cumbria came in close behind at second and third, with 26 and 25 pubs along featured walking routes, while Hampshire and Gloucestershire rounded out the top five counties with 23 and 22 respectively.
