Rob Starr debut The First Widow

It was wonderful to see Rob Starr’s interview with Bristol 24/7. Rob spoke with Sarski Anderson about his new book, The First Widow – from what inspired him to begin writing a thriller, to the brilliant Bristol locations that feature. You can read the full interview here

The Windham-Campbell Prizes 2024 Festival Programme Announcement

The Windham-Campbell Prizes Festival 2024 programme has been announced, featuring a series of free lectures, screenings, and performances from this year’s prize recipients and alumni.

The festival will run from September 17 – 20 at various locations across Yale’s university campus and will celebrate the eight extraordinary writers each awarded a Windham-Campbell Prize worth $175,000 in April. This year’s “Why I Write” keynote address will be by the indomitable short story writer, novelist and translator Lydia Davis. The full programme is here

Episode 7 of the new Windham-Campbell Prizes x Literary Hub Podcast series is out! Featuring special guest… m. nourbeSe philip.

philip chats to host Michael Kelleher, director of the Windham-Campbell Prizes, about Born To Slow Horses – a series of poetic meditations on islands and exile, language and ritual, and the force of personal and historical passions and grief by Barbadian poet and academic Kamau Brathwaite.
