Bookshop.org’s initiative ‘Book Lover Spotlight’ shines on a different individual every two weeks to curate and post their favourite books.

George Walkley is new Midas non-executive chair

George Walkley has been named Midas’ non-executive chair. He succeeds George Lossius, who is retiring as of 30th June after 10 years.Walkley spent 15 years at Hachette as group digital and development director, and is now an independent consultant, non-executive director and a doctoral researcher. Described as an expert on AI in publishing and media, he has developed the world’s first independent, CPD-accredited training course on generative AI for book publishers.
