Henley Festival 2024
Henley Festival Presented by Westcoast revealed a sensational line-up for 2024, featuring five magical summer nights packed full of world-class music, comedy, dining, dancing and magical moments from Wednesday 10 July to Sunday 14 July, with headliners including Nicole Scherzinger, Dave Stewart’s Eurythmics Songbook, Trevor Nelson, Gladys Knight, Rylan, Nigel Kennedy, Sam Ryder and much more.
The UK’s only black-tie music and arts festival, set on the beautiful riverside in Henley-on-Thames, Henley Festival’s mission is to support the next generation of talent. This year’s Henley Festival RISE line-up will once again give a platform for young musicians, comedians and visual artists to take their first steps on stage, as well offering opportunities for young people aspiring to work behind the scenes. New for this year, Henley Festival has presented the inaugural Westcoast RISING Star Award – celebrating outstanding achievement and great potential – to singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist KATYA, known for her refreshingly personal solo performances where she combines her soulful vocals and layered guitar with electronic beats, jazz overtones and atmospheric soundscapes.

The Swansea University Dylan Thomas Prize Reveals International Longlist for 2024
We are proud to work with the world’s largest and most prestigious literary prize for young writers – the Swansea University Dylan Thomas Prize – and this week we announced the incredible, international longlist for 2024, with authors hailing from the UK, Nigeria, Trinidad & Tobago, US, Canada, and Hong Kong, and nine of this year’s twelve titles coming from independent publishers. The media response to the list has been wonderful, and we’re looking forward to the shortlist announcement on 21 March and the reveal of the winner on 16 May.

This week, the remarkable writer Lisa St Aubin de Terán returned to the literary limelight after almost 20 years with the publication of her ‘timeless’ memoir (Amaurea Press). In ‘Better Broken Than New’, Lisa – like the Japanese art of kintsugi – puts the shattered pieces of her life back together, filling in many of the dramatic, and often scandalous, gaps. We have already had interview & review coverage appear in The Times, Daily Telegraph, Financial Times with much more to come – including an interview on BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour next Tuesday.

This week, Bookshop.org has crowned the UK’s biggest supporters of indie bookshops online – in the winners of the second annual Indie Champions Awards. The awards recognise the individuals and organizations that have done the most to champion the work of independent booksellers on Bookshop.org.
