Our round-up of Midas announcements from the week:

David Copperfield

This week, Audible Original released the Sam Mendes-produced adaptation of David Copperfield, featuring an all-star cast including BAFTA nominated actor, Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education) in the title role, Helena Bonham Carter (Sweeney Todd), Theo James (The White Lotus), Jessie Buckley (Chernobyl), Richard Armitage (The Hobbit), Jack Lowden (Slow Horses) and Toby Jones (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy).

This is the second in the collaboration with the Academy Award-winning director, whose first dramatization, Oliver Twist, was released by Audible last year. David Copperfield was recorded in Audible’s state-of-the-art-studio in the heart of London, as well as in the Charles Dickens Museum, bringing the sounds of the capital that inspired Dickens’ masterpieces to the fully dramatized productions using Dolby Atmos sound.

There has been yet more amazing publicity come in for Patricia Cornwell’s latest Kay Scarpetta novel Unnatural Death this week, including feature interviews in Daily Telegraph, Sunday Express and Woman’s Weekly, fascinating conversations with Patricia on Times Radio with Kait Borsay and BBC World Service Outlook and more incredible reviews for the latest thrilling instalment in the series:
