The London Book Fair

On Monday, The London Book Fair has announced the Author of the Day and Illustrator of the Fair line-up for 2024, which will feature: TV presenter and Sunday Times best-selling author Richard Osman; Taylor Jenkins Reid, best-selling author of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo; Waterstones Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho; and Klaus Flugge Prize winner Flavia Z Drago as the Illustrator of the Fair. Bookshop.org

To coincide with their third anniversary, on Thursday 2nd November Bookshop.org have announced the biggest supporters of indie bookshops in the UK, both in terms of sales volume and shared mission – in the shortlist of the second annual Indie Champions Awards.

Spanning writers, publishers & organizations, the shortlist features among others: authors Barbara Kingsolver, Benjamin Myers, Natalie Haynes, Sathnam Sanghera, Frank Cottrell-Boyce; publishers Fitzcarraldo Editions, Bloomsbury, Canongate; and organisations such as The Booker Prizes, Jhalak Prize, Women’s Prize, Hay Festivals.
